What we collect

Anime Alert Japan does not require accounts. Browsing the feed, franchise hubs, categories, and item pages happens without collecting personal information.

The only personal data we store is the email address you give us when subscribing to drop alerts, together with the franchise preferences you pick so we can target the digest. This data is used solely to send the alerts you requested.

Email alerts

Alerts are sent at most once per day, only for the franchises you follow, and only for items you have not already been alerted about. Every email contains an unsubscribe link that works immediately — no reply or confirmation needed.

Unsubscribing removes you from future sends; we keep the minimum record needed to honor that request.

Analytics and cookies

We collect anonymous, aggregate usage signals (which pages and outbound links are used) to improve the product. These signals never include your email address or full link URLs, and they are not used to build advertising profiles.

We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are limited to remembering your own saved items and feed preferences inside your browser.

Affiliate links

Some outbound shop links are affiliate links to partner stores (Play-Asia, Solaris Japan, Rakuten, CDJapan, Amazon Japan). If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate parameters never carry personal data — only tracking IDs belonging to this site.
